Little Scout are an independent band from Brisbane Australia; they formed in early 2008 and soon after were named as one of the Triple J 'next crop' artists in 2008.[1] They have released two EP's and one album.[2] They have toured with established Australian bands Yves Klein Blue, The Holidays, Holly Throsby, Clare Bowditch and Cloud Control; and international band The New Pornographers and Camera Obscura.[3][4][5][6] Recently Little Scout were featured on the video website Vimeo and received over 30,000 views[7] Their most recent release Take Your Light has been hailed as their best release thus far.[8]
Little Scout play an integral part within the Brisbane independent music community and wider Australian music community, with members performing in other established bands including but not limited to The John Steel Singers, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Edward Guglielmino and Skinny Jean.
In 2011 they were selected to play the Big Sound conference a key industry event in Australia.[9]
